Front axle — installation (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Apply transmission oil to the contact surface (B) with the sealing cuff and to the splines (A).



2. Before installing the drive shaft (C), install the retaining ring (D) with the lock facing down.

3. After installation, make sure that the shaft cannot be removed manually.

4. Install the Birfield joint into the steering knuckle.

5. Tighten the bolts (A) securing the lower arm. Tightening torque 100-120 Nm.



6. After installing the washer (B), with the concave surface facing the hub, tighten the lock nut (A) and install the cotter pin (C).





7. Install the wheel (A) on the hub (B) and tighten the mounting nuts (C).
