Before disposing of a vehicle equipped with air bags and disposing of air bag modules, perform the following air bag deployment procedures.
Triggered inside the vehicle (when the vehicle is written off)
1. Open all windows and doors of the car. Place the car in an isolated place.
2. Disconnect the wires from the negative ("-") and positive ("+") terminals of the battery and remove the battery from the vehicle.
3. Remove the trim from the middle part of the instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the airbag ECU connector.
5. Connect the trigger device to the connectors of all modules.

6. Place the trigger device as far away from the vehicle as possible and trigger the airbags by pressing the trigger button.
Disposal of deployed airbag modules
Deployed airbag modules are disposed of in the same way as other waste, strictly observing the instructions below.
1. Immediately after activation, the airbag gas generators have a very high temperature, so before handling them, wait at least 30 minutes.
2. Do not allow water to come into contact with the deployed airbag.
3. The deployed airbag module may contain substances that irritate the eyes and/or skin. Therefore, wear protective gloves and goggles when handling it. If, despite these precautions, the said substances come into contact with the eyes or skin, immediately rinse the affected area with plenty of clean water. In case of irritation, seek medical attention.
4. Place the deployed airbag module in a heavy-duty vinyl bag and seal the bag tightly.
