1. Turn on the heated rear window. Connect a voltmeter to one end of the heating network and to the center of the glass. The voltage must be 6V.
2. If the voltmeter showed 12 V, then the network break is located between the contacts of the voltmeter.
3. If the voltmeter showed no voltage, then the network break is behind the contacts of the voltmeter.
4. Slowly move the foil to pinpoint the location of the break. The open is at the point where the voltmeter changes reading.
5. Carry out this procedure for each network line.
