Collapse
- Standard value — -30'±30'
To perform adjustment operations, loosen the lower rod mounting bolt.
Note. Auxiliary rod mounting bolt (from the side of the cross member) must be backed out a few turns when making adjustments.
The measurement accuracy is approximately 15'.
Convergence
- Standard value - from 3 to -2 mm
Note. Auxiliary rod mounting bolt (from the side of the cross member) must be rotated at an equal angle in both directions when performing adjustment operations.
Checking the axial clearance in the wheel bearing
1. Check up axial backlashes in bearings when the car is raised on a jack.
2. At detection of an axial backlash of any size remove a cap and disconnect a parking brake.
3. Remove caliper assembly and brake disc.
4. Check the axial play of the bearing. Place a clock gauge on the surface of the wheel hub and then move the hub axially and check for axial play.
- Axial clearance limit - 0.01 mm or less
5. If the result exceeds the limit value, the rear wheel bearing nut must be tightened to the specified torque value, after which the axle play is checked again.
6. If adjustment fails to achieve this clearance, replace the entire rear wheel hub bearing.
