Disassembly
1. Before loosening the piston rod nut, compress the coil spring with the special tool.
Warning. Do not use a pneumatic tool to tighten the bolt.
2. While holding the piston rod, tighten the rod nut.
Examination
1. Check rubber parts for defects.
2. Check the coil spring for damage.
Assembly
1. Compress the coil spring with the special tool and insert it into the shock absorber.
2. Align the end of the coil spring with the shock absorber spring seat as shown.
3. Attach the dust cover to the cover assembly as shown in the illustration.
4. When positioning the bracket as shown in the figure, tighten the nut to the correct torque.
