Note: this procedure is carried out only if there is no special installation for quick replacement of automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface. Apply the parking brake.
2. Draining the working fluid (ATF) from the automatic transmission hydraulic system.
- a) Disconnect the hose connecting the gearbox to the working fluid cooler.
Note: The working fluid cooler is located inside the radiator of the cooling system.
- b) Start the engine. Leave the engine idling (automatic transmission selector in position "N") and allow the working fluid (ATF) to drain through the hose.
Caution: After starting, let the engine run for no more than 1 minute. If all the automatic transmission fluid has leaked out before this point, stop the engine immediately.
- c) Unscrew the drain plug on the bottom of the automatic transmission housing and drain the working fluid (ATF) from the automatic transmission working fluid pan.

- d) Install the drain plug with a new gasket in place and tighten the plug to the specified torque.
- Tightening torque: 30-35 Nm
- d) Fill in new automatic transmission fluid (ATF) through the automatic transmission filler tube (fluid level dipstick tube).
Attention: if the nominal volume of automatic transmission fluid (ATF) does not enter the gearbox, then you should stop filling.
- Recommended working fluid: SKATF SP-III, or DIAMOND ATF SP-III
- Filling capacity: 7.8 l
- e) Repeat the procedure for draining the automatic transmission fluid given in subparagraph "b".
Note:
- Check for signs of contamination in the drained working fluid (ATF). If the working fluid (ATF) is contaminated, repeat the operations in subparagraphs "d" and "e" again.
- If the automatic transmission is filled with more working fluid (ATF) than the nominal volume, then repeat the operations in subparagraph "b".
3. Replace the automatic transmission fluid filter (see the relevant section).
4. Fill in new automatic transmission fluid through the guide tube of the automatic transmission fluid level dipstick.
Note: Pour the working fluid slowly, in small portions with short breaks.
4. Connect the automatic transmission fluid cooler hose disconnected in step "2" and securely install the fluid level dipstick in place.
Note: Before installing the automatic transmission fluid level dipstick, clean the area around it from dirt.
5. Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes.
6. Move the automatic transmission selector lever sequentially through all positions, and then set it to the "N" position. Check that the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) level is in the "COLD" range (if the automatic transmission is not warmed up) of the automatic transmission fluid level dipstick. If the level is below the specified value, add the required amount of automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
7. Drive the car until the ATF temperature reaches normal operating temperature (70-80°C), then check the ATF level again, which should be in the "HOT" range.
8. Make sure that the fluid level dipstick is tightly installed in the filler (guide) tube of the automatic transmission.
