2. Remove the ignition system fuse.
3. Disconnect the ignition wires from the ignition coils and disconnect the high-tension spark plug wires.
Note: When disconnecting the spark plug wire, be sure to hold only the rubber cap of the wire. If the spark plug wire is disconnected by pulling on the wire itself, internal breaks in the wire circuit may result.

4. Loosen the ignition coil assembly mounting bolt and remove the coils.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Caution: Incorrect routing of high-voltage spark plug wires may result in EMF induction in adjacent wires, which may cause misfires, jerking and twitching of the vehicle at high speeds.
Examination
1. Measuring the resistance of the primary winding of the ignition coil.
Measure the resistance between terminals "1" and "2" of the ignition coil (ignition coil for cylinders #3 and #6), terminals "2" and "4" of the ignition coil (ignition coil for cylinders #1 and #4), and terminals "2" and "3" of the ignition coil (ignition coil for cylinders #2 and #5).
- Nominal value: 0.74 Ohm ±10%

2. Measuring the resistance of the secondary winding of the ignition coil.
(The article is borrowed from an online resource: HYUNDAIBOOK.RU)
Measure the resistance of the secondary winding between the high-voltage terminals of coil No.3 and No.6, No.1 and No.4, No.2 and No.5.
Caution: When measuring the secondary winding resistance, the ignition coil connector must be disconnected.
- Nominal value: 13.3 kOhm ±15%
