Withdrawal
Attention:
- Cover the front fenders of the vehicle with protective covers to prevent damage to the painted surfaces of the body.
- Be careful when disconnecting hoses, do not spill oil or other liquid.
- Plug the disconnected pipes or hoses to prevent foreign particles from getting inside.
Note: When disconnecting hoses, always mark them first so that the hoses are in their original position when connected.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the noise-protective casing of the engine.
3. Disconnect a socket of the gauge of the mass expense of air.
4. Remove the air filter assembly.
5. Disconnect the connectors of the following components from the engine management system harness:
- A) Generator and starter.
- b) Throttle position sensor.
- V) Fluid pressure switch in the power steering hydraulic system, oil pressure switch.
- G) The switch of lanterns of a backing.
- d) (Models with automatic transmission) Automatic transmission solenoid valve block, starter interlock switch.
- e) Coolant temperature sensor.
- and) Ignition coils and power transistor.
- h) Idle speed control servo.
- And) Intake air temperature sensor.
- To) Oxygen sensor.
6. Drain the coolant.
7. (Models with automatic transmission) Disconnect the automatic transmission fluid cooler hoses.
Note: When disconnecting hoses, always apply alignment marks first so that the hoses are set in their original position when connected.
Attention:
- Be careful when disconnecting hoses, do not spill oil or other liquid.
- Install plugs on disconnected pipes or hoses to prevent foreign matter from entering.
8. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses, then remove the radiator assembly.
9. Disconnect the wire "masses" engine.
10. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
11. Disconnect both hoses (inlet and outlet) heater on the engine side.
12. Disconnect the accelerator pedal cable and cruise control cable from the engine side.
13. Before disconnecting the high pressure fuel hose from the fuel manifold, bleed any residual pressure from the high pressure fuel lines to prevent fuel splashing.
14. Disconnect the high pressure fuel hose from the fuel manifold.
15. (Models with automatic transmission) Remove the transmission control cable from the transmission.
16. Disconnect the power steering hydraulic hoses from the power steering pump.
17. In a motor compartment remove a protective cover of a shaft of a steering, then disconnect the hinge of a cardan shaft of a steering from a steering mechanism.
Note: Before removing, be sure to scribe the relative position on the steering propshaft pivot and steering gear assembly.
18. Raise the car with a lift and remove the front wheels.
19. Remove a support in gathering from a rotary fist. Hang the caliper on the front suspension strut with wire (not for the brake line).
20. Disconnect the wheel drive shafts from the steering knuckle.
The procedure for removing the wheel drive shaft is given in chapter "Drive shafts".
21. If necessary, remove the front suspension strut.
22. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil from the manual transmission or the fluid from the automatic transmission.
Mechanical gearbox. | Automatic checkpoint. |
23. Turn away bolts of fastening of a reception pipe of system of release.
Note: after disconnecting the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold, hang it with a wire from the car body.
24. (Models with manual transmission) Remove the gear select cable and shift cable. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.
25. Install the special tools on the vehicle. Using chains or cables, secure the engine to the crosshead by the mounting brackets and hang it on a hoist.
26. Slowly raise the engine to relieve the weight of the engine and transmission assembly from the supports and temporarily leave it in the suspended position.
Attention: check that all cables, wires are disconnected from the engine (electrical connectors), hoses, etc.
27. Attach the special tool to the transmission telescopic rack, then adjust it to fit the subframe.
Note: check that all cables, wires are disconnected from the engine and gearbox assembly (electrical connectors), hoses, etc.
28. Remove the side support of the engine.
29. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a support of a transmission to a basic arm.
30. Turn away bolts of fastening of a stretcher.
31. Disconnect the drive shafts from the transmission, then lower the engine and transmission assembly on the transmission telescopic stand. Remove the front and rear engine mounts.
32. Remove the engine and gearbox assembly without separating them from each other.
33, Remove the special tools from the vehicle.
Installation
1. Before installing the power unit (engine and gearbox) check wiring, tubes, hoses, etc. Make sure that these parts are not damaged or pinched during installation.
2. Carefully place the front and rear engine mounts on the bracket.
- Tightening torque: 50-65 Nm
3. Install the engine and gearbox assembly on the subframe. Using the transmission rack, carefully adjust the position of the power unit relative to the body and supports.
4. Install and tighten the bolt securing the transmission support to the support bracket.
- Tightening torque: 90-110 Nm
5. Install the motor side support.
Torque:
- Support bolt to support bracket: 90-100 Nm
- Support bolt: 50-65 Nm
6. Reinstall the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.
7. Fill the cooling system and check for fluid leaks.
8. Fill with manual transmission oil or automatic transmission fluid and check for leaks. Check the correct operation of the gearbox.
9. Check the operation of the transmission control cable and the accelerator pedal cable.
10. Check the correct operation of pointers and indicators.
11. Check for fuel leaks after connecting the fuel lines. Turn on the ignition for 2 seconds (do not turn on the starter), to allow the fuel pump to pressurize the fuel lines. Repeat this operation two or three times, then check for leaks in the connections.
