Note:
- Before adding compressor oil to the compressor, check the amount of compressor oil inside the compressor.
- When replacing any component of the system or if significant refrigerant leaks are detected, add a compressor
- oil up to the nominal amount (in order to maintain the oil balance in the system).
- Compressor oil: FD46XG
- Total amount of oil in the system: 150 ml
Amount of oil added when replacing components:
- Vaporizer: 30ml
- Capacitor: 40ml
- Receiver drier: 20 ml
- Compressor: 50 ml
- Tube or hose: 10 ml
Attention:
- Compressor oil must be free of moisture, impurities, metal particles, etc.
- Do not mix compressor oils of different grades.
- Compressor oil is very hygroscopic, so do not leave the oil container open for a long time (those. longer than necessary for refueling). Close container immediately after use.
1. Follow the compressor oil return procedure, then stop the engine. Evacuate the refrigerant from the air conditioning system, then remove the compressor from the vehicle.
2. Drain the oil from the compressor through the high pressure fitting.
Note: If the compressor is cold, it may be difficult to drain the oil from it. Warm up the compressor before draining the oil to a temperature of approximately 40-50°C.
3. Measure the amount of oil [X ml] that was in the removed compressor.
4. Drain the amount of oil [Y ml] calculated from the formula below from the new compressor, and then install the new compressor in place.
- Oil volume in the new compressor: 150 ml - X ml - Y ml
Note: [Y ml] refers to the amount of oil left in the pipes, condenser, evaporator, hoses, etc.
