Note:
- Before adding compressor oil to the compressor, it is necessary to check the amount of compressor oil inside it.
- When replacing any system component or when significant refrigerant leaks are detected, add compressor fluid
- oil to the nominal amount (in order to maintain the oil balance in the system).
- Compressor oil: FD46XG
- Total amount of oil in the system: 150 ml
Amount of oil to add when replacing components:
- Evaporator: 30 ml
- Condenser: 40 ml
- Receiver-dryer: 20 ml
- Compressor: 50 ml
- Tube or hose: 10 ml
Attention:
- Compressor oil must not contain moisture, contaminants, metal particles, etc.
- Do not mix compressor oils of different grades.
- Compressor oil is very hygroscopic, so do not leave the oil container open for a long time (i.e. longer than necessary for filling). Close the container immediately after use.
1. Perform the oil return procedure to the compressor, then turn off the engine. Evacuate the refrigerant from the air conditioning system, then remove the compressor from the vehicle.
2. Drain the oil from the compressor through the high pressure line fitting.
Note: If the compressor is cold, it may be difficult to drain the oil from it. Warm up the compressor to a temperature of approximately 40-50°C before draining the oil.
3. Measure the amount of oil [X ml] that was in the removed compressor.
4. Drain the amount of oil [Y ml] from the new compressor calculated according to the formula below, and then install the new compressor in place.
- Oil volume in a new compressor: 150 ml - X ml - Y ml
Note: [Y ml] refers to the amount of oil remaining in the pipes, condenser, evaporator, hoses, etc.
