Procedure for returning compressor oil to the compressor (Hyundai Sonata EF)

The oil used to lubricate the compressor circulates throughout the air conditioning system only when the compressor is running.

To check the amount of compressor oil or add it to the air conditioning system, follow these steps:

• a) Start the engine and let it idle for 20-30 minutes.
• b) To return the oil to the compressor, turn on the air conditioner, move the temperature control switch to the maximum cooling position and the heater electric fan switch to the high speed position.
