Oil capacity: 140-160 cm3
Oil condition
1. The oil must not contain moisture, dust, metal particles, etc.
2. Do not mix oils of different types.
3. The moisture content of the oil increases if it is left exposed to air for a long time. After using the oil, the oil container must be sealed immediately.
Oil filling
Check the oil level or add oil after the engine has been running at idle speed for 20 to 30 minutes and the fan speed is high.
Checking the compressor oil level
When adding compressor oil while the compressor is running, check the oil level as follows.
1) Fill the compressor with oil, stop the engine, drain the refrigerant and remove the compressor from the vehicle.
2) Drain the oil from the compressor outlet.
Note. Since it is difficult to drain cold oil, warm up the compressor to a temperature of 40-50°C before draining.
3) Measure the amount of leaked oil. If less than 70 cm3 of oil has leaked out, then there is a small oil leak. Check air conditioning system connections for leaks and repair or replace damaged parts.
4) Check the condition of the oil and fill the compressor with oil in the following order.
If the oil is clean
Drained oil volume | filling |
Over 70cm3 | The oil level is normal. Add an amount of oil equal to the amount of leaked oil. |
Less than 70cm3 | The oil level is low. Top up with 70 cm3 of oil. |
