Note:
- This check is performed if a refrigerant leak is suspected or if work has been done to remove components or loose fittings, pipes and hoses.
- For proper use of the capabilities of the electronic detector, refer to the instrument manufacturer's instructions for maintenance and inspection work.
1. Check the torque of the tube nuts and, if necessary, tighten the fasteners to the specified torque. Check the system for leaks using an electronic detector.
2. If the leak continues even after tightening the connections, pump the refrigerant out of the system, disconnect the pipes and check their sealing surfaces for damage. Always replace a defective part, even if there is slight damage.
3. Check the amount of compressor oil in the system and add oil if necessary.
4. Charge the system with refrigerant and check again for leaks. If no leaks are found, evacuate the system, then charge the system with refrigerant.
