- difficulty starting the engine;
- the engine stalls;
- uneven engine idling;
- jerks on acceleration.
Check condition
The engine is cold or has hand temperature.
A source of compressed air is required for testing.
Start the engine and listen to the exhaust system with the engine running for leaks.
Stop the engine.
Insert compressed air source gun (compressor) into the exhaust pipe and seal with a rag.
Set the compressed air pressure to 6 bar. Turn on the gun.
Coat the cylinder head and exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold and muffler downpipe, muffler downpipe and catalytic converter with leak finder and check for bubbles.
Repair leaks in the exhaust system.
