Withdrawal
Raise the car, remove the front wheel.
Nut of fastening of a drive in a nave of a forward wheel
Knock out the cotter pin and unscrew the nut securing the front wheel hub.
Pressing out the ball joint pin of the tie rod end from the steering knuckle using a puller 09568-34000
Press the tie-rod end ball joint pin out of the steering knuckle using puller 09568-34000.
Mounting the suspension strut to the steering knuckle
Disconnect the suspension strut from the steering knuckle.
Drain the oil from the gearbox housing.
Knocking out the wheel drive shaft from the hub with a plastic mallet
Use a plastic mallet to knock out the wheel drive shaft from the hub.
Insert a pry bar between the gearbox housing and the wheel drive shaft inner pivot housing and, using the pry bar as a lever, separate the shaft from the gearbox.
Separate the wheel hub from the drive shaft by moving the hub towards you.
Warning! Replace the wheel drive shaft inner circlip with a new one each time it is removed.
Anti-vibration weight on the drive shaft
Check anti-vibration weight for cracks and wear.
Warning! After each removal, replace the self-locking nut and cotter pin with new ones.
Installation
The outer diameter of the retaining ring of the inner joint of the shaft must be equal to 27 + 0.4 mm.
Tighten the screw connections to the torques listed below.
Notes:
- When carrying out repair work, disassembly of the outer hinge is not allowed.
- A special lubricant is put into the shaft hinges. Other brands of grease are not recommended.
- Replace protective boot clamps with new ones each time they are removed.
Tightening torques for threaded connections, N·m
- Nut of fastening of a finger of a spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft — 24–34
- Nuts of bolts of fastening of a rack of a suspension bracket to a rotary fist — 110–130
- Wheel hub nut - 200-260
Note. If you are reusing the boots, wrap the shaft splines with duct tape to prevent damage to the boots when removed.
Apply gear oil to the splined shank of the wheel drive shaft inner joint and to the mating surface of the transmission case.
When connecting the wheel drive shaft to the gearbox housing, take care not to damage the dirt ring.
Lock ring of an internal hinge of a power shaft
Before connecting the shaft to the gearbox, install a retaining ring on it with the slot down.
After installing the shaft, make sure that it does not move by hand.
Install the washers with the concave side inward, tighten the hub fastening nut and lock it with a cotter pin.
Warning! Securely fasten the clamps so that the clamps do not loosen during operation of the vehicle.
