Removal
1. Raise your Hyundai Getz and remove the front wheel.
2. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the drive shaft mounting nut.
3. Remove the caliper and secure it to the front strut with soft wire.
4. Remove the speed sensor from the steering knuckle.
5. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the nut securing the ball joint journal of the tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Using puller 09568–34000, press the ball joint journal out of the steering knuckle.


2. Remove the snap ring.
3. Install special tools 09517-21500, 09517-29000 as shown in the figure.

Examination
1. Check the hub for cracks and wear.
2. Check the brake disc for wear or damage.
3. Check the steering knuckle for cracks.
4. Check the bearing for cracks or damage.
Assembly
1. Apply a thin coat of grease to the steering knuckle bore and to the outer bearing race.
2. Using a press with a 09532–31200A tool of the appropriate diameter, press in a new wheel bearing.
Note.
- Do not apply press force to the bearing inner race.
- Always use a new bearing when installing.
- The bearing in the left and right front wheel hubs must be made by the same company.

6. Using special tool 09517–21500, screw the hub to the steering knuckle, tightening the tool bolt to a torque of 200–260 N·m.
7. Turn the hub several times to ensure that the bearing elements are seated in their proper places.
8. Measure the torque required to turn the bearing.
Torque: no more than 0.99 Nm
