Any hydraulic system works normally if air is removed from it. It is necessary to bleed the hydraulic clutch actuator every time after removing the connecting tube, hose and / or clutch master cylinder, and also in the case when the clutch pedal becomes «soft».
Attention! The fluid used in the hydraulic drive dissolves paint and plastic, so if fluid gets on the car's paintwork, wash it with plenty of water.
During bleeding, add only clean fluid recommended by the manufacturer.
Recommended fluid: SAE J1703 (DOT3 or DOT4).
1. On the clutch release cylinder, loosen the bleed valve and attach a hose to it. Place the other end of the hose in a glass container of sufficient volume.
2. Slowly depress the clutch pedal.
3. With the clutch pedal depressed, loosen the bleeder plug and bleed the air from the hydraulic system. Tighten the bleeder screw and release the clutch pedal.
4. Add the required brand of fluid to the tank to the normal level.
Attention! Rapid repeated depressing of the clutch pedal in area B-C may cause the pushrod to come out of the clutch cylinder housing during bleeding. Press the clutch pedal only after it returns to the top position (A).
