Caution! If the belt is loose, it will make extraneous noise during operation and will be subject to premature wear. If the belt is too tight, damage to the water pump or generator bearings may occur.
1. Loosen the generator mounting nut "A" and the tension bar lock bolt "B".

2. Loosen the tension bar lock bolt and adjust the belt tension according to the data given in the table.
3. Tighten the locking bolt "B" to secure the tension bar.
4. Tighten the generator mounting nut "A".
5. Check the belt tension or deflection and readjust if necessary.
Tightening torques:
- Generator bracket mounting bolt and nut: 20–25 N·m
- Locking bolt "B" for fixing the tension bar: 12-15 Nm
- Tensioner bar mounting bolt: 20–27 N·m
