2. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.
3. Remove the exhaust manifold from the cylinder head.

4. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
Examination
1. Check the exhaust manifold for damage or cracking.
2. Check the weld between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter for damage or cracks.
Installation
The exhaust manifold is installed in the reverse order of removal.
Caution: When installing the exhaust manifold, it is necessary to use a new gasket and exhaust manifold mounting nuts.
