Removal
Warning!
- When removing the power unit, ensure that the jacks and stands are installed correctly and that the engine is securely fastened with the slings of the lifting mechanism.
- When working under the vehicle, take measures to prevent the vehicle from rolling or falling off the supports.
Attention! To protect the paintwork of the car body, use protective covers.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the windshield wiper arms.






27. Remove the bolts securing the engine support bracket to the engine.

28. Slowly lift the engine off the mounts and hold it in this position temporarily.
Caution: Make sure all electrical connectors, hoses, tubes and wire harnesses are disconnected from the engine.
29. Remove the plugs located on the right mudguard and unscrew the bolts securing the gearbox bracket to the right side member.

30. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the cross-mounted engine frame.

31. Tilt the gearbox and remove the engine and gearbox from the vehicle.
