Attention! Loose belt tension will cause a slipping sound and rapid belt wear.
Attention! If the belt tension is too high, it is possible that the bearings of the coolant pump or alternator will break.
loosen the nut «A» alternator pivot and locking bolt «IN» generator adjuster.
Turn the adjusting bolt to adjust the tension and deflection of the belt to nominal values.
Tighten lock bolt «IN» generator adjuster.
tighten the nut «A» articulated generator.
Check belt tension or deflection and readjust if necessary.
Tightening torques:
- screw «A» - 35–55 Nm;
- bolt «IN» - 20–25 Nm;
- adjusting bolt - 8–12 Nm.
