Testing the relay (type A)
Check for continuity between the relay terminals.
1. When applying voltage from the battery terminals to contacts 2 and 3 of the relay, there should be conductivity between contacts 1 and 4.
2. When the voltage is disconnected from contacts 2 and 3 of the relay, there should be no conductivity between contacts 1 and 4.
