Removal and installation
1. Remove the air cleaner.
2. Disconnect the harnesses of the ABS relay unit, pump with drive and modulator.
3. Disconnect the brake system lines, starting from the ABS modulator and ending with the brake master cylinder and distribution valve.
4. Remove the relay unit from the modulator mounting bracket.
5. Remove the modulator mounting bracket and remove the modulator.
Warning:
- 1. Do not attempt to remove the ABS modulator.
- 2. The modulator must be carried and stored in an upright position and with sealed openings.
- The modulator must not be allowed to dry out.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
7. Tighten the modulator bolts and brake line nuts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
- Modulator bolt - 17-26 Nm.
- Brake line nut - 13-17
Control modulator
Removal
1. Remove the lower impact pad.
2. Disconnect the modulator connector.
3. Remove 4 modulator mounting bolts.
4. Remove the modulator.
