Removal and installation

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.



2. Remove the two bolts, disconnect the horn switch connector and remove the driver's airbag.

Caution: On vehicles without an airbag, remove only the horn switch button.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the coil spring.



10. Loosen the bolt securing the cardan joint to the steering gear.





3. Check the conductivity between the connector contacts.
