Testing the relay (type A)
Check for continuity between the relay terminals.
1. When applying voltage from the battery terminals to contacts 1 and 4 of the relay, there should be conductivity between contacts 2 and 3.

2. When the voltage is disconnected from contacts 1 and 4 of the relay, there should be no conductivity between contacts 2 and 3.
Testing the relay (type B)
Check for continuity between the relay terminals.
1. When applying voltage from the battery terminals to contacts 1 and 2 of the relay, there should be conductivity between contacts 4 and 3.

2. When the voltage is disconnected from contacts 1 and 2 of the relay, there should be no conductivity between contacts 4 and 3.
Testing the relay (type C)
Check for continuity between the relay terminals.
1. When applying voltage from the battery terminals to contacts 3 and 5 of the relay, there should be conductivity between contacts 1 and 2.
2. When the voltage is disconnected from contacts 3 and 5 of the relay, there should be conductivity between contacts 1 and 4.
