Withdrawal
1. Remove the transmission from the vehicle.
2. With a special tool (09411-11000), fix the cover by inserting the tool into the central spline (to prevent the clutch disc from falling out).
3. Loosen the bolts (diagonally), that secure the clutch cover to the flywheel. To prevent the flange from bending, it is necessary to unscrew the bolts sequentially by 1-2 turns.
Examination
Clutch disc and cover
1. Check disc lining for loose rivets, uneven contact, wear, oiling, and replace clutch disc if found to be defective.
2. Measure the rivet head recess and replace the clutch disc if the recess size is not correct.
- Limit value: not less than 0.3 mm
3. Check up a course of a spring and replace it at detection of defects — along with a disk of coupling.
4. Align the clutch disc with the drive shaft and check the movement of the disc and its free play in the direction of rotation.
Clutch release bearing and fork
1. The release bearing is packed with grease.
2. Check the bearing for defects and for wear at the point of contact with the diaphragm spring.
3. If excessive wear is found at the contact point of the bearing with the release fork, replace the bearing and the release fork.
Installation
1. Apply grease to the contact area with the pivot pin and contact with the release bearing, as well as on the end face of the working clutch pushrod and the pusher hole in the release fork.
- Lubricant used: «PRAY TA N2»
2. Pack grease into the inner surface of the release bearing and the groove, lubricate the spline of the clutch disc.
3. Install clutch disc to flywheel and clutch cover assembly. Tighten pre-bolts (in diagonal order) and then the finally established moment.
