Removal
1. Remove the gearbox from the vehicle.
2. Using a special tool (09411-11000), secure the casing by inserting the tool into the central splined hole (to prevent the clutch disc from falling out).
3. Loosen the bolts (diagonally) that secure the clutch housing to the flywheel. To prevent the flange from bending, loosen the bolts sequentially by 1-2 turns.
Examination
Clutch disc and housing
1. Check the disc lining for loose rivets, uneven contact, wear, oiling and replace the clutch disc if it is found to be defective.
2. Measure the recess of the rivet head and replace the clutch disc if the recess size is not within the standard.
- Limit value: not less than 0.3 mm
3. Check the spring stroke and replace it if any defects are found - at the same time as the clutch disc.
4. Align the clutch disc with the drive shaft and check the movement of the disc and its free play in the direction of rotation.
Clutch release bearing and fork
1. The release bearing is packed with grease.
2. Check the bearing for defects and for wear at the point of contact with the diaphragm spring.
3. If excessive wear is found at the point of contact between the bearing and the release fork, replace the bearing and the fork.
Installation
1. Apply grease to the pivot pin contact area and release bearing contact area, as well as to the end of the working clutch pusher and the pusher hole in the release fork.
- Lubricant used: "MOLIWHITE TA N₂"
2. Pack grease into the inner surface of the release bearing and groove, lubricate the splined part of the clutch disc.
3. Install the clutch disc on the flywheel and the clutch housing assembly. Pre-tighten the bolts (diagonally) and then tighten to the final torque.
