Removal and inspection
1. Remove the return spring.
2. Remove the cotter pin, washer and head pin.
3. Remove the clutch pedal mounting bolt.
4. Check the pedal axle and bushing for wear.
5. Check the clutch pedal for bending or twisting.
6. Check the return spring for defects or wear.
7. Check the pedal pad for damage or wear.
Installation
1. Apply grease to the clutch pedal and bushings.
- Lubricant used: SAE J310, NL GI N1
2. Install the clutch pedal mounting bolt.
3. Apply appropriate lubricant to the pin and washer.
- Wheel bearing grease used: SAE J 310 NL GI N₂
4. Install the push rod onto the clutch pedal.
5. Adjust the height of the clutch pedal.
6. Adjust the free travel of the pin under the clutch pedal cotter pin.
