Removal



1. Remove the battery.

2. Disconnect the air filter.

3. Disconnect the connectors of the reversing lights and the engine compartment wiring harness.

4. Disconnect the generator wiring connectors and the oil pressure sensors.

5. Drain the coolant from the engine.

6. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler hoses.

Note: When disconnecting hoses, mark them with identification marks for subsequent installation.

Warning:
  • Make sure that no oil or liquid is leaking from the hoses.
  • Cover any open openings to prevent foreign objects from entering.


7. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses from the engine side, then remove the radiator.



8. Disconnect the high tension wire and all wires going to the ignition distributor from the ignition coil.

9. Disconnect the engine ground.

10. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.

11. Disconnect the main fuel line and the return and steam hoses from the engine side.

Warning: To reduce residual pressure in the hoses, see section "Replacing the fuel filter" ("Fuel supply system").


12. Disconnect the heater hoses (inlet and outlet) from the engine side.

13. Disconnect the throttle control cable and the ride control system cable from the engine side.

15. Disconnect the speedometer flexible shaft from the gearbox.

16. Remove the air conditioning compressor from its mounting bracket.



17. Remove the power steering oil pump from the cylinder block.

18. Raise the car.

19. Remove the oil pan protective screen.

20. Drain the oil from the gearbox.

21. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the manifold.

Note: Use wire to hang the exhaust pipe from the bottom of the car.


22. Unscrew the lower arm ball joint bolts and disconnect the vehicle's anti-roll bar at the point where it is attached to the lower arm.

23. Disconnect the axle shafts from the gearbox housing.

Warning:
  • 1. Cover the openings in the gearbox housing to prevent foreign objects from entering.
  • 2. During subsequent assembly, the axle shaft clamps must be replaced.


24. Attach the lower arm and axle shafts to the body with wire.

25. Attach the cable to the engine and use the hoist to lift the engine until the cable is taut.

26. Remove the front stopper.

27. Remove the engine damper and rear stopper.

28. Loosen the engine mounting bolts.

29. Unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the engine bracket to the body.

30. Raise the engine and gearbox slightly.

Warning: Make sure all cables, hoses, electrical wires and connectors are disconnected from the engine.




31. Remove the plugs from the inside of the right mudguard and unscrew the gearbox bracket mounting bolts.
