Front suspension arms.
1 - front suspension upper arm, 2 - front suspension strut assembly, 3 - strut fork, 4 - drive shaft, 5 - front suspension anti-roll bar, 6 - front suspension lower arm, 7 - connecting element, 8 - steering knuckle complete with hub.
Withdrawal
1. Jack up the car, remove the bolts and remove the front wheel.
- Tightening torque: 90-110 Nm
2. Loosen the ball joint nut.
Note: do not unscrew the nut completely.
3. Using the special tool, disconnect the ball joint from the lower arm.
4. Turn away two bolts and disconnect the bottom spherical support from a rotary fist.
- Tightening torque: 100-120 Nm
5. Turn away the bottom bolt of a plug.
- Tightening torque: 100-120 Nm
6. Turn away a nut and disconnect a rack of the stabilizer of cross-section stability from the lower arm of a forward suspension bracket.
- Tightening torque: 35-45 Nm
7. Turn away two bolts of the back plug of the lower arm.
- Tightening torque: 100-120 Nm
8. Turn away a bolt and disconnect the bottom lever from a stretcher.
- Tightening torque: 120-140 Nm
9. If necessary, remove the steering gear (see chapter "Steering").
10. If necessary, remove the anti-roll bar.
Disassembly
1. Turn away three nuts and remove a connecting element.
- Tightening torque: 120-140 Nm
2. Using a special tool, remove the rack mounting sleeve from the connecting element.
3. Using the special tool, remove the lower arm front bushing.
Examination
1. Check the rubber bushings for wear or deformation.
2. Check the lower arm for bending or cracks.
3. Check the ball joint boot for cracks or damage.
4. Check all bolts for deformation and damage.
5. Check up the moment of rotation of a finger of a spherical support.
- A) If the ball joint boot is cracked or damaged, replace the ball joint assembly.
- b) Rock the ball joint pin a few times.
- V) Measure the torque of the ball joint pin.
- Rated value: 0.1-0.4 Nm
- G) If the torque is less than the lower limit of the nominal value, then replace the ball joint assembly.
- d) If the torque exceeds the upper limit of the rated value, the ball joint can be reused until the torque exceeds 1.5 Nm.
Assembly
1. Assembly of the lower arm of a front suspension bracket is made in an order, the return to dismantling.
2. When assembling, install the front hub as shown in the illustration.
Installation
1. Installation of the lower arm of the front suspension is carried out in the reverse order of removal, the tightening torques of the bolts and nuts are indicated in the text of the description of the removal procedure and in the assembly drawing "Front suspension arms".
2. When installing the connection of the roll bar, ensure that the length matches ("A") the threaded part of the rack protruding from the nut to the specified value.
