Withdrawal
1. Remove wide hose and crankcase ventilation valve.
2. Remove the toothed belt cover.
3. Remove the cylinder head cover.
4. Turn out bolts with shoulder and remove in gathering a shaft of yokes, yokes and springs.
5. Turn out bolts and remove from a shaft of a yoke and a spring.
Examination
Rocker arms
1. Check rocker toes. Replace rockers if damaged or scored.
2. Check up a condition of working surfaces of yokes contacting cores of valves and a camshaft cam. If severe wear or damage, replace rocker arms.
3. Check the surfaces of the valve clearance compensators in contact with the valve stem. If the surface is worn or damaged, replace the hydraulic valve clearance adjusters.
Rocker shaft
1. Check the rocker shafts for damage.
2. Check the cleanliness of the grease supply hole.
Installation
1. Install the rocker arms and springs on the rocker shaft. Install the rocker shaft on the cylinder head and secure with bolts, tightening them to the required torque.
Torque:
- 1.3L engine: 20–27 Nm
- 1.1L engine: 22–37 Nm
2. When installing rocker arms, shafts and springs, pay attention to the difference between rocker arms A and rocker arms B.
The rocker arm springs for the intake and exhaust valves are the same. Carry out the installation in such a way that a small chamfer between the two parts of the rocker arm axis is located on the side of the gas distribution mechanism drive.
3. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders and fix bolts, having tightened them the demanded moment.
Tightening torque: 8–10 Nm.
Attention!
- 1. Before installing the cylinder head cover, apply a layer of sealant to the mating surface of the cylinder head.
- 2. Apply a thin layer of sealant, otherwise it will be squeezed out under the cylinder head cover and may interfere with the operation of the valve drive mechanism.
- 3. Use only sealant of the specified or equivalent brand.
- 4. Sealant (Three bond #1212D aluminum color) apply in four places.
4. Establish a casing of a gear belt.
Tightening torque: 10–12 Nm.
5. Install wide hose, crankcase ventilation valve, bypass hose, and spark plug wires.
6. Connect the air intake pipe.
