Removal
Remove the front wheel.
Crossbar stabilizer bar
Remove the stabilizer bar.
Anti-roll bar
Loosen the bolts securing the stabilizer bar brackets.
Remove the stabilizer bar.
Checking the technical condition
Check the stabilizer bar for deterioration of the material properties and damage.
Check all mounting bolts for damage and deformation.
Check the stabilizer bar ball joint boot for cracks or damage.
Checking the rotation moment of the stabilizer strut ball joint pins
Check the rotation moment of the stabilizer bar ball joint pins.
If there is a crack in the ball joint boot, replace the boot with a new one, adding grease to it.
Rock the ball joint pin several times.
Tighten the self-locking nut of the ball joint and measure the torque of the joint pin. It should be 0.7–2 N·m.
If the turning moment of the ball joint pin exceeds the specified upper limit, replace the stabilizer bar. If the turning moment of the ball joint pin is less than the specified lower limit, it is allowed to continue to use it, provided there is no jamming or excessive play.
Installation
Install a silent block on the stabilizer bar on the outside of the stopper located on the bar.
