2. Make sure that the coolant level reaches the lower edge of the filler neck.
3. Install the radiator cap tester to the filler neck and pressurize the cooling system to 140 kPa. Make sure that the pressure in the cooling system is maintained for 2 minutes.
Attention!
- 1. Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot, as escaping vapors can cause severe burns. Close the radiator cap with a thick rag and slowly unscrew the cap until the escaping steam hisses. After the steam stops escaping, slowly unscrew and remove the cap from the radiator.
- 2. Wipe the parts and connections of the system to be checked dry.
- 3. When the tester is removed, be careful not to spill coolant from the tester.
- 4. Be careful when installing and moving the unit and do not damage the radiator filler when checking.
- 5. If not, locate the leak and fix it.
