Conditions for storing fault codes
The ECU memorizes code P0506 or P0507 and turns on the engine control system malfunction indicator lamp if, in two driving cycles for 15 seconds, the value of the governor control commands and the idle speed do not agree with the values recorded in the ECU memory. This requires the following conditions:
- air flow through the regulator at idle is greater than 4.1 g / s (at P0506) or 1.7 g/s (at P0507);
- deviation of the crankshaft speed from the norm is less than 200 min-1;
- the vehicle speed is zero;
- coolant temperature is above 75°C.
The output of this code indicates that the position of the regulator damper and idle speed are not consistent with the values stored in the computer's memory.
The ECU stores code P0506 or P0508 and turns on the engine control system malfunction indicator lamp if, in two driving cycles, the open winding control cascade (at P01506) or closing winding control cascade (at P01508) has a short circuit to the +12V battery circuit.
The ECU memorizes a fault code and turns on the engine management system malfunction indicator lamp if, in two driving cycles, in the opening winding control cascade circuit (at P01505) or closing winding control cascade (at P01507) there is an open or short circuit in «mass».
