Withdrawal
1. Turn away bolts and nuts of fastening of an inlet collector and remove a collector and its lining.
2. Remove the nuts and washers of the exhaust manifold, remove the manifold and its gasket.
3. Use a special key (09221— 32000), remove the cylinder head bolts in the order shown in the figure.
4. Remove the block head and gasket from the cylinder block.
Examination
1. Remove scale, sealing material and deposits. After cleaning the oil passages, blow them out with compressed air.
2. Visually inspect the cylinder head for cracks, damage, and coolant leaks.
3. Check the bottom surface of the head for flatness using a straightedge as shown in the figure.
Flatness deviation:
- Rated value - less than 0.05 mm
- Limit value - 0.2 mm
Intake and exhaust manifolds
1. Visually inspect manifolds for cracks, damage.
2. Check the exhaust gas recirculation channel and the intake manifold coolant channel for contamination and clean them if necessary.
Installation
1. Clean the bottom surface of the cylinder head and the top surface of the block itself.
2. Check the identification marks on the head gasket.
3. The surface of the gasket with the identification mark must face the cylinder head.
Note. Apply sealant to the cylinder head gasket around the four oil drain holes to improve sealing performance.
4. Install the cylinder head bolts.
5. Using a special key (09221— 32001), starting with the central bolts, tighten all the head mounting bolts 1/2 of the required torque in the sequence shown in the figure.
6. In the same sequence, tighten all the cylinder head bolts to the required torque.
- Torque: Cylinder head bolts Cold engine (engine coolant temperature about 20°C) - 105-115 Nm.
7. Clean the mating surfaces of the intake and exhaust manifolds and the cylinder head.
8. Install new exhaust and intake manifold gaskets.
9. Install intake and exhaust manifolds and torque bolts and nuts.
- Tightening torque: Bolts and nuts of the intake and exhaust manifolds - 15-20 Nm.
