Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (Hyundai Getz 1)

The Hyundai Getz MIL warning light comes on when there are faults in the engine and automatic transmission control systems. However, the MIL will not come on after three engine starts if the previously detected fault no longer appears. After the ignition is turned on (before the engine is started), the warning light comes on continuously, which indicates that the fault diagnostic system is working properly.



The control lamp lights up when faults occur in the following system elements:

• transmission fluid temperature sensor
• pulse generator (PG-A);
• pulse generator (PG-B);
• switching solenoid valve "A" (SCSV-A);
• switching solenoid valve "B" (SCSV-B);
• switching solenoid valve "C" (SCSV-C);
• pressure Control Solenoid Valve "A" (PCSV-A);
• pressure Control Solenoid Valve "B" (PCSV-B);
• damping clutch solenoid valve (DCCSV);
• switching synchronization;
• gearbox operating mode switch.
