Disconnect the main muffler from the additional one.

Remove the main muffler by disconnecting the suspension mounts.

Disconnect the additional muffler from the main muffler.

Remove the additional muffler by disconnecting the suspension cushion.

Disconnect the catalytic converter from the exhaust pipe.

Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter (on an engine running on unleaded gasoline) or from the exhaust manifold (on an engine running on leaded gasoline).

Unscrew the bolt of the muffler inlet pipe clamp and its mounting nuts.

Checking the technical condition



Check mufflers and pipes for corrosion and damage.

Check the suspension cushions and strap clamps for cracks and signs of aging.

Installation



Install the catalytic converter, exhaust pipe, sub-muffler and main muffler in the order listed and temporarily secure them.

Tighten the fasteners of the exhaust system components, making sure that they do not touch the body.

Loosen the bolts of the clamps securing the exhaust pipe and the nuts securing it to the catalytic converter.

Unscrew the bolt securing the inlet pipe to the additional muffler.

Installation



Install the exhaust pipe, additional and main mufflers in the listed order, and temporarily secure them.

Tighten the fasteners of the exhaust system components, making sure that they do not touch the body.

Warning! Only remove and inspect exhaust system components when the system is cold.
