Removal
1. Disconnect the two drive cables from the heater and one drive cable from the fan housing.

Heater Fan: 1 - guide casing; 2 - fan casing; 3 - air intake damper "A"; 4 - incoming air damper "B"; 5 - incoming air guide casing; 6 - air inlet flap drive lever; 7 - air inlet flap lever "A"; 8 - air inlet flap lever "B"; 9 - electric motor and fan impeller; 10 - resistor; 11 - air intake flap drive rod; 12 - cable clamp; 13 - traction holder; 14 - spring washer; 15 - screw; 16 - damper pin; 17 - wire holder; 18 - seal.

4. Remove ten bolts and remove the instrument panel beam.

Examination
1. Use additional wires to apply voltage from the battery to the contacts and connector of the fan motor. If the fan motor rotates, it is working properly.
2. Check the resistance between the fan connector contacts. If the resistance does not match the required values, replace the resistor.
