Removal
1. Remove the drain plug and drain the automatic transmission fluid.
2. Remove the air cleaner.
3. Remove the control cable.
4. Disconnect the speedometer sensor connector.
5. Disconnect the connectors from the pulse generator, transmission switch, downshift servo switch, solenoid, and oil temperature sensor.
6. Remove the starter.
7. Remove the anti-roll bar, disconnect the ends of the steering rod, remove the lower ball joint arm, and the lower axle shaft cover.
8. Remove the transmission cone housing cover.
9. Disconnect the oil cooler hose.
Warning: Cap the ends of the oil cooler hoses and transmission openings to prevent fluid leakage.
10. Remove the automatic transmission.

Installation
1. Secure the torque converter to the gearbox side and install the gearbox onto the engine.

Warning: If the torque converter is initially installed on the engine, damage to the oil seal on the transmission side may occur. Therefore, install the torque converter on the transmission first.
2. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
