Removal



1. Disconnect the air intake hose from the throttle body.

2. Remove the accelerator drive cable.

3. Remove the engine cooling system hose and throttle body.

4. Remove the engine positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose and the vacuum booster hose.

5. Remove the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) pipe and gasket.

6. Disconnect the grounding conductor.

7. Remove the receiver support stand.

8. Remove its gasket.

Examination



9. Check the receiver for defects or cracks. Replace the defective receiver.

10. Check the coolant passages.

Installation



11. Install the receiver gasket in place so that its painted surface faces up.

12. Install the throttle body mounting bolts as shown in the illustration.
