Removal
Main muffler.
Caution: Allow exhaust system components to cool to a safe level before removing them.
1. Disconnect the main muffler from the center pipe.
2. Remove the rubber brackets and take out the main muffler.
Central exhaust pipe
1. Disconnect the center pipe from the main muffler and catalytic converter.
2. Remove the rubber brackets and take out the center pipe.
Catalytic converter of exhaust gases
1. Disconnect the catalytic converter from the center and front exhaust pipes.
2. Remove the rubber brackets and take out the catalytic converter.
Front pipe
1. Unscrew the bolts securing the front pipe to the catalytic converter.
2. Loosen the exhaust manifold nut clamp bolt.
Examination
1. Check mufflers and pipes for corrosion and defects.
2. Check the rubber brackets for cracks or other damage.
Installation
1. Install the front pipe, catalytic converter, center pipe and main muffler in the order shown.
2. Install the rubber brackets.
3. Tighten the threaded connections securely and make sure that any of the parts do not contact the vehicle body.
