Checking and adjusting the automatic transmission control cable and the start inhibit switch
1. Check that the gears engaged correspond to each position of the automatic transmission selector and that the gearbox operates correctly in each range. Adjust if necessary.
2. Set the automatic transmission selector to position "N".
3. Loosen the adjusting nut securing the automatic transmission control cable to the start inhibit switch lever.
4. Set the manual control lever to neutral position ("N").

5. Loosen the start inhibit switch mounting bolts and turn it until the holes in the switch and in the start inhibit switch lever are aligned (section "A-A" in the figure).

6. Without changing the position of the start inhibit switch, tighten the mounting bolts.
- Tightening torque: 10-12 Nm
7. Slightly pull the automatic transmission control cable in the direction indicated by the arrow in the figure and tighten the adjusting nut.

8. Make sure that the automatic transmission selector lever is in the "N" position.
9. Check that the gears engaged correspond to each position of the automatic transmission selector and that the gearbox operates correctly in each range.
