Checking the oil level in the gearbox
Check the gearbox for oil leaks. Check the oil level in the gearbox by removing the speedometer driven gear. If the oil is contaminated, drain the oil and refill with new oil.
Remove the speedometer drive gear and check the oil level with your finger.
Make sure the oil level is between the marks «F» And «L» speedometer driven gear.
If the oil level «L» or lower, add the recommended gear oil to the gearbox up to the mark «F».
Changing the oil in the gearbox
With the vehicle parked on a level surface, remove the drain plug and drain the gearbox oil.
Note. Recommended gear oil: hypoid gear oil (HP Gear Oil), GL-4 according to API classification, viscosity SAE75W-90.
Replace the gasket with a new one and replace the drain plug.
Remove the speedometer drive gear.
Fill in new oil up to the mark «F» speedometer driven gear.
Transmission filling capacity: 2.43 l
Make sure the oil level in the gearbox is between the marks «F» And «L» speedometer driven gear.
Install the speedometer drive gear to the transmission clutch housing.
It is necessary to drive the car so that the temperature of the oil in the gearbox reaches operating temperature, then check for oil leaks from the gearbox.
Replacing the wheel drive shaft seal
Disconnect the wheel drive shaft from the gearbox.
Using a flathead screwdriver, pry out the seal.

With a special tool (mandrel 09431-21200) lightly tap the new wheel drive shaft seal into the gearbox (pic. 3.4).
Lubricate the seal lip with gear oil.
