Warning! Battery electrolyte is a highly concentrated solution of sulfuric acid, which is extremely harmful and corrosive. Be careful not to let it come into contact with your eyes, skin, clothing, or painted surfaces of your vehicle.
Caution! If the electrolyte gets on your skin, wash the affected areas with clean water no later than 15 minutes later, then seek medical help.
Warning! If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them with water and seek medical help immediately. During transportation to the doctor, continue to rinse your eyes with a sponge soaked in water.
Checking the battery
Keep the battery clean. Any traces of corrosion around the battery terminals should be removed using a solution of baking soda and warm water. After the battery terminals are dry, lubricate them with a thin layer of grease.
