Coolant temperature gauge (Hyundai Sonata EF)

1. The gauge shows the engine coolant temperature when the ignition key is in the "ON" position.

2. If the pointer of the indicator enters the red zone of the "H" scale while the engine is running, this indicates engine overheating. In this case, immediately stop the car in a safe place and turn off the engine (do not turn off the ignition). Eliminate the cause of overheating (see the subsection "Engine overheating" of the section "Engine malfunctions while driving").
