Checking the pressure in the hydraulic control system of the automatic transmission (Mitsubishi Matrix)

Warm up the engine and automatic transmission so that the automatic transmission oil (ATF) temperature reaches the normal operating value (80–100°C).

Raise the vehicle on a lift so that the drive wheels are off the ground.

Connect special devices (adapter and pressure gauge) to the appropriate holes to check the pressure (Fig. 3.59).

Measure the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) pressure in each line under the conditions given in table 3.10, and check that the measured values correspond to the nominal values.

If the measured pressure is outside the standard values, troubleshoot according to table 3.11.
