Remove the starter.
Turn away bolts of fastening of a transmission.
Loosen the gearbox-to-engine bolts.
Remove the transmission assembly using the transmission telescopic strut (T/M Jack).
Attention! The engine and gearbox mounts must be installed in a specific order.
Installation order of the support brackets
Bracket side engine support.
Gearbox support bracket.
Rear engine mount bracket.
Front engine mount bracket.
Attention! Be careful when installing the front engine mount bracket, do not damage or deform the mount. If the support is destroyed, severe vibration of the power unit may occur when the engine is idling.
Installation
Pic. 3.91. Gearbox assembly
Connect the torque converter at the transmission side and install the transmission assembly on the engine (pic. 3.91).
Attention! If the torque converter is first installed on the engine, then when installing the gearbox, the gearbox oil seal will be damaged. Therefore, before assembling the power unit, always install the torque converter on the transmission side.
Install the automatic transmission control cable and adjust it as follows in the order below.
Move the selector lever of the automatic transmission and the starter interlock switch (automatic transmission selector switch) on the gearbox to position «N», then connect the automatic transmission control cable.
After connecting the automatic transmission control cable to the intermediate mount on the transmission support bracket, securely fasten the cable with a retainer.
Turn the adjusting nut to adjust the position of the automatic transmission control cable on the starter interlock switch (automatic transmission selector switch) so that there is no free play of the cable. Then check that the automatic transmission selector lever shifts smoothly.
Visually check the correct adjustment of the automatic transmission control cable.
The rest of the parts are installed in the reverse order of removal.
