Withdrawal
Disconnect the battery.
Disconnect the fan motor connectors and release the wires from the deflector clips.
Models with automatic transmission: disconnect the automatic transmission fluid cooling hoses from the deflector.
Remove the four deflector mounting bolts.
Remove the deflector together with the electric motor.
Remove retaining ring and remove fan.

Loosen the three motor fixing screws, remove the motor (pic. 2.162).

Check that the radiator fan rotates when battery voltage is applied to the motor terminals (pic. 2.163).
Check the absence of extraneous noise in the operation of the electric motor
Fan Motor Relay Test

Remove the fan speed control relay from the relay box in the engine compartment (pic. 2.164).

Check for continuity between terminals 2 and 4 of the relay. Check the relay circuits according to table 2.8.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note. When installing, do not allow the fan to come into contact with the deflector. After installation, check the operation of the assembly (pic. 2.166).
