Rear seat center installation
Pic. 1.165. Installing a child seat
Fix a child seat by means of the central belt, as it is shown in drawing 1.165. After installation, rock it back and forth and left and right to make sure it is securely fixed.
If the child seat is not secured, adjust the belt length. After that, insert the fixing hook (if available) lock and tighten it to secure the seat. Always read the child seat manufacturer's instructions carefully before installing it in your vehicle.
Installation in the rear seat at the door
To install a rear child seat by the door, pull the lap belt out of the retractor. Install a child restraint (child seat), fasten the seat belt and wait until the belt takes up some slack (until the slack in the seat belt is removed). Make sure the lap belt fits snugly around the child restraint (child seat), and the shoulder part of the seat belt cannot touch the child's head or neck area. Once the retainer is in place, try moving it in different directions to make sure it is secure.
Note. Before installing the holding device (child seat) carefully read the manufacturer's instructions for this device.
Using a child restraint with an anchoring system
When transporting infants and young children, the use of a child seat is strongly recommended. Such a holding device (child seat) should be appropriate for the height and weight of the child and installed properly in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer of this device.
