Front seats with electric adjustment (Hyundai Santa Fe CM)

The front seats are adjusted using a switch located on the left side of the seat. Before driving, adjust the seat to a position that is comfortable for operating the steering wheel, pedals, and switches on the dashboard.

Caution! Do not press two switches simultaneously.

To move the seat in a longitudinal position, pull the adjustment switch forward or backward. When you release the switch, the seat will lock in a comfortable position.

To tilt the seat back, move the top of the adjustment switch forward or backward. When you release the switch, the seat back will lock in the new position (Fig. 1.151).

Warning! To reduce the risk of injury in the event of a traffic accident (crash) or sudden braking while the vehicle is moving, the backrests of the driver's and front passenger's seats should be in a position as close to vertical as possible.


Warning! The effectiveness of seat belts and air bags may be significantly reduced when the seat back is reclined. There is a high probability that when the seat back is reclined, the driver and front passenger may slide out from under the seat belt, causing serious injury in the event of a vehicle collision during an accident. The seat belt will not be able to provide full protection to the passenger when the seat back is reclined.


Seat Cushion Height Adjustment (Driver's Seat Only)



To raise or lower the front of the seat cushion, move the front of the adjustment switch up or down, respectively (Fig. 1.151). To raise or lower the rear of the seat cushion, move the rear of the switch up or down, respectively.

Lumbar support adjustment (driver's seat only)

To adjust the lumbar support, press the switch located on the outside of the driver's seat cushion (Fig. 1.152).

To increase the support force, press the front part of the switch. To decrease the support force, press the back part of the switch.
