Using a stethoscope, listen to the clicking sounds of the injectors when idling (Fig. 2.251).
Check that the clicking frequency increases as the engine speed increases.
Note: Listen so that the clicks are not transmitted through the fuel rail to the non-working injector from the adjacent injector.

If you don"t have a stethoscope, check the operation of the injectors by placing your finger on them (Fig. 2.252).
If no vibration is felt, check the electrical connector, injector, or control signal from the engine control unit.
