Tightening the cylinder head bolts (Hyundai Sonata Y3)

1. Using a special tool (09221—32001), tighten them lightly at first and then fully to the required torque.

• Bolt tightening torque: Cold engine (engine temperature approximately 20°C) — 105-115 Nm.

2. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the figure.

Note: Start the engine and run it until it reaches normal operating temperature, then allow it to cool and re-tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
